4- 7 Yaş Arası Türk Çocuklarında Sözdizimini Anlama Becerileri
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to analyses of syntax comprehension of children between the ages 4 and 7, the relationship between their receptive language and chronological age and syntax comprehension skills on the basis of Turkish syntactic features. Study group consist of 283 children (158 girls and 125 boys). It is determined that there is a significant, moderate and positive relationship between the receptive language and chronological ages, syntax comprehension and chronological ages, syntax comprehension and receptive language ages. When the partial and dual correlations between predictor variables and dependent variables, it is determined that there is a positive and moderate relationship between chronological age and syntax comprehension skills, (r=0.44). When the syntax comprehension skills of the study group are analyzed, it is seen that children between 48 and 60 months of age and 61 and 72 months of age gave wrong answers to similar sentence structures while children 73-83 months of age gave wrong answers to different structures.The results obtained from research is consistent with the studies in literature and it is determined that relative importance order of predictor variables are receptive language age and chronological age.
