Girişimciliğin Artmasında Mesleki Eğitimin Rolü: Meslek Yüksekokullarında Girişimcilik Dersleri Üzerine Bir Araştırma
Abstract

Abstract
The role of entrepreneurship in the development of a country's economy is crucial. Entrepreneurship education, which teaches basic entrepreneurship and business knowledge and ways of financing, enhances entrepreneurial skills and increases the number of entrepreneurs. One type of institution that provides this education in our country is vocational schools. In this research, we determined the courses content for Business Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Foreign Trade, and Logistics programs at vocational schools giving entrepreneurship training, using interview and document review methods. Research was carried out in vocational schools which have Business Management program. It was determined that on the 162 of the 183 Business Management Program, 23 of the 41 Tourism and Hotel Management Programs, 20 of the 32 Logistics Programs and 23 of the 43 Foreign Trade Programs were entrepreneurship courses. When the contents of the entrepreneurship courses in the curriculum, it has been seen that education is mainly oriented to theoretical and informative. The results of the research reveal that vocational schools attach importance to entrepreneurship education. However, we would suggest that vocational schools would make even greater contributions to the growth of entrepreneurship by increasing the number of entrepreneurship courses in their programs and by giving their students more opportunities for practical training in their education. For this reason, it is recommended that vocational schools should use methods of simulation and entrepreneurial game methods in entrepreneurship courses.
